Ryno holds a B.Sc. (Actuarial Science), B.Sc. Honours (Mathematics of Finance), H.Dip. (Tax Law), CFA, and FIA.
Over 30 Years of Experience
Ryno has 30+ years’ experience in financial instruments valuations and 12+ years’ experience in traditional actuarial valuations, i.e. damages claims, loss of income claims, maintenance claims and road accident fund claims.
Highly Recognised in Our Field
Ryno is a qualified actuary and one of the earliest qualified CFA charter holders in South Africa. He also lectured at WITS and UJ.

Ryno Deysel - Qualified Actuary
Ryno started his career with Liberty Life in 1994 where he was a bursary holder. He soon realised his passion for the financial markets and embarked on a career in investment banking heading up institutional sales and structuring at Citi Bank where he was a Director.
Ryno’s entrepreneurial side took over in 2009 and he founded Kühlenthal Actuaries and Exchange Capital.
Ryno has a penchant for teaching and lectured CA1 to the Actuarial Science Honours students at WITS between 2008 – 2012. He also lectured CT1 and CT2 at UJ between 2018-2019 to the second year actuarial science students.
